Performance Evaluation of QoS metrics in Software Defined Networking using Ryu Controller

Abstract With assistance from Software Defined Networking (SDN), networks have become more creative to build and maintain over the last few years. The inflexibility of modern network architecture is presenting researchers with a tough achievement. SDN replaces existing inescapable complicated way separating control plane data fixing those constraints, namely configurations done manually, monitoring, protection, usability, functionality. controllers (e.g., POX, RYU, ONOS, OpenDaylight, Floodlight, etc.) therefore developed as core for management these networks. performance evaluation controller has an outstanding effect on improving flexibilities abilities topology infrastructures. This research summarizes tests using criteria Bandwidth, Round-Trip Time). study employs Mininet emulator enforce that comprises RYU switching part, one OpenFlow switch, multiple nodes. goal determine QoS (Quality Service) including Throughput iperf test.
